MEET US IN ZILKER PARK
The Austin Parks Foundation’s Party for the Parks is a vibrant annual fundraising event that supports the city’s public parks and green spaces. Held at the Tito’s stage on a Wednesday between weekends one and two of the Austin City Limits Music Festival, this year’s event showcased the best of the ACL festival experience, featuring an all-inclusive, premium experience with awesome eats, treats, drinks, games, and fun culminating in a private concert with ACL performing artist, Orville Peck.
THE CLIENT'S VISION
The Austin Parks Foundation sought an event production partner to create an exceptional party and private concert — a seasoned team of party pros who could seamlessly blend creativity with logistical precision. They needed an expert to ensure that every detail, from planning to execution, met the highest standards of excellence to deliver a memorable experience. Enter: Mueller Scott.
THE PLAN
To achieve the Foundation’s vision, we crafted a strategic plan that celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Party for the Parks and elevated the event to a whole new level. This year, we transformed the experience from a traditional concert format to an upscale gala atmosphere. This involved reimagining the event layout to include refined custom décor, enhanced seating arrangements, and a greater focus on creating intimate, exclusive experiences for the guests. This transformation allowed us to capture the energy of ACL while introducing a polished, upscale aesthetic that aligned with the Foundation’s goal of delivering a high-impact fundraising experience.
THE EXPERIENCE
The 10th annual Party for the Parks was a tremendous success, held at the Tito’s Handmade Vodka stage with an intimate gathering of 800 guests. A key feature that makes this event so special is the performance by an ACL artist. This year, we had the pleasure of hosting country artist Orville Peck, renowned for the distinctive masks he wears on stage. Guests joined in on the fun at a mask-making station, where they crafted their own fringe masks to wear during the concert.
To further embrace Austin's culture, attendees had the opportunity to design custom cowboy hats with Longhorn Fashions and purchase boots from Alvies Boots. A delicious dinner was provided by local favorite, Tacodeli, who also treated guests to their exclusive Doña popsicles.
The primary goal of this event was to raise funds for the Austin Parks Foundation. Guests participated in various engaging fundraising activities, including the Tipsy Toss, Gift Card Gamble, and Rockin’ Raffle. A lively auction, led by the Cowboy Auctioneer team, featured unique items and experiences, raising significant funds for the cause while adding to the evening's enjoyment. Heartwarming stories from beneficiaries of the parks underscored the evening's impact, contributing nearly $500,000 to support Austin’s parks and green spaces. We’d say that’s a job well done!
