THE CLIENT VISION
The Thinkery wanted to elevate its beloved Imagine That! Gala from a casual walk-around format into a refined seated experience, blending sophistication with the museum’s signature sense of play. The goal was to create a standout evening in Austin’s gala season.
THE PLAN
Our team partnered closely with Thinkery to reimagine the gala in a new setting at Branch Park Pavilion, just steps from the museum. Designed for 300 guests, the evening featured a full seated dinner by Contigo Catering, bringing exceptional local hospitality to a venue without a kitchen. Bold florals, playful color, and imaginative details — from balloon-winged greeters to toys at each table — reflected Thinkery’s creative identity throughout the space.
EVENT HIGHLIGHTS
Guests embraced the playful energy of the evening through interactive moments like a glitter bar and Austin Energy’s Van de Graaff machine, which quickly became crowd favorites. Careful planning ensured a seamless guest experience across the pavilion’s challenging layout, resulting in an event that felt effortless, engaging, and memorable. By the end of the night, the gala raised over $350,000 in support of Thinkery’s educational programs.
